What Does an AI Health Assessment Actually Measure?
Short answer
An AI health assessment measures self-reported inputs across health domains — sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, energy, substances, body composition and history — then uses models to score them, estimate risk-relevant summaries such as biological age, and rank which changes are likely to matter most for you. It does not measure physiology directly and cannot detect disease.
The four jobs the AI does
- Aggregation: pulls scattered inputs into one structured picture.
- Estimation: converts inputs into summary metrics such as a Wellness Score or biological age estimate.
- Prioritization: ranks changes by likely effect size for your profile instead of giving generic advice.
- Protocol generation: turns the priorities into a concrete weekly plan you can follow.
Known limits
Self-report is imperfect, models generalize from populations rather than from you specifically, and language models can be confidently wrong. Anything clinical belongs with a clinician; assessment output is a starting point for that conversation, not a replacement for it.
